  • Move-off Exemption Options (Please Read Carefully)

Trine University Housing Policy requires all students, who are enrolled as fulltime, to live in campus housing.  A student may request to qualify for an exemption by meeting at least one of the following specific criteria: Being married, responsible for a dependent child, living at home with a parent or legal guardian within 50 miles of Angola, or are 21 years of age on or before August 1.   Students who are requesting an exemption to commute from home need to be aware that official verification of a Parent’s/Legal Guardian’s residence will be required prior to approval.  Students should also not be signing a lease or paying rent of any sort at a location other than the home of their parents or guardians.  If a commuting student is found to not be living at home with their parents, they will be asked to move back on campus, be charged for Trine University housing, and may incur further disciplinary actions up to, and including, dismissal from Trine University. To request an exemption, please select one of the allowable exemptions listed below.
